About Cub Scout Pack 34

A brief history

Cub Scouts has been a part of the Newfield community for many many years off and on. Six years ago the pack started up again with the help of some very dedicated parents and has been growing ever since. Today, the pack has a number of cub scouts that are making a difference in their community. In 2021, the pack crossed over six Cub Scouts into Boy Scout Troop 34. In 2022, the pack officially started welcoming girls. We are now a stronger pack more than ever.

The pack is truly what we as parents make it out to be. We do our best to put the FUN in Scouting by giving the scouts experiences that many of their peers miss out on. We love to have families participate in scouts because we recognize the days are long but the years with our children are short.

Ideally we'd like to see all parents volunteer in some capacity, whether that means providing snacks for the Pinewood Derby, coordinating our Annual Blue and Gold banquet, serving on the pack committee or becoming a den leader. But don't stress about knowing what to do. There are a tremendous amount of web-based training resources available to help current leaders teach you the way. All we ask is that you DO YOUR BEST (which also happens to be the Cub Scout Motto) to help your child, pack and den be successful!

Our chartered organization

The chartered organization relationship is the cornerstone to the scouting program. We are proud to be chartered by the Newfield Masons. The Masons support and guide our pack by approving all pack leaders, providing meeting space and helping to coordinate the overall scout program.
